The birth of the X Shop was as much a surprise to us as it was to many of our fans. We weren't really planning on opening up a store. It
was just one of those moments that you read about where someone sees
an opportunity and actually takes it.
Ricardo Zulueta, FUKiTT & RISKY
CLOTHING founder, was just showing a friend who wanted to open up a
tattoo shop a building for rent. But as he was showing it, he saw
another space for rent. "I just really visualized my
FUKiTT & RISKY clothing being in that
shop. So, I called the landlord about the rent and after some
financial analyses, I thought it was definitely possible, "Said
Ricardo.
As you can see, Ricardo not only
promotes his motto of living life without regret and accepting
challenges worth the risk...he lives it. He has succeeded because
people see that he genuinely believes in it. Ricardo says, "I am so
thankful for so many friends and acquaintances who are willing to
help me out just to help me out. It's great to know that I really do
inspire people."
We'd like to introduce our partner
with the X Shop, Hans. He doesn't really care about getting any
recognition for his investment in the X Shop, but we thought we'd
fuck with him anyway!
He's a great guy and as you can see in
this picture, a real family kind of guy. Say hello to him and let
him know that we're all thankful for his contributions toward the X
Shop!
With increasing barriers to entry
in the clothing industry, we have decided to help other
up-and-coming companies by carrying their products in the X
Shop. These companies include SLIDE CLOTHING, BANGARAY SURFBOARDS,
WALKER SURFBOARDS, and TRUANCY SKATEBOARDS.
Being that it's our first summer
opening the X Shop, we don't have much of a benchmark to measure our
success but so far...so good! We've had so many repeat customers,
like TJ in the video below, who just keeps coming back to get more gear! He said,
"Dude...I've got so many people asking 'Where'd you get that hat?!
Where'd you get that shirt?! I even had some black couple offer me
$50 for the hat I was wearing!"
